Bio

CATHERINE GEORGE is a costume designer based in New York. Born and raised in Belfast, Northern Ireland. She graduated in Fashion Design from the University of Derby before going on to work in design in London.
After relocating Catherine soon started designing independent movies in the New York area. She designed Katherine Dieckmann's 1970's story Diggers starring Paul Rudd.
She went on to work with maverick directors including Lodge Kerrigan on "Keane" and Todd Solondz "Life During Wartime". Then working in the action movie genre on a remake of the cult classic Red Dawn due for a 2012 release. After Collaborating with her brother Terry George on his feature Reservation Road she more recently worked on his short film The Shore which was shot in Ireland.
She designed "We need to talk about Kevin" the award winning thriller directed by Lynne Ramsay and starring Tilda Swinton.
Catherine has worked with Oren Moverman on both his features"The Messenger" and more recently in LA on the widely acclaimed neo-noir cop story "Rampart".
She lives in Brooklyn with her husband Mark and children Liam and Iosa.
